New domestic partner

The beginning of autumn of year 2009 saw a new important event on the air freight market in Russia – CPCR, a courier consolidator and Aeroflot-Cargo, air freight carrier concluded a long term partnership agreement. Both companies are currently holding leading positions on the local market of express delivery and air freight. Volumes that are to be carried by CPCR with Aeroflot-Cargo are expected to rise up to 100 tons a month. CPCR is sure that partner relations with Aeroflot-Cargo will dramatically change their method of freight delivery to remote areas of Russia and will increase a service level of freight operations on domestic routes...

Being a domestic partner of Aeroflot-Cargo CPCR may utilize all advantages of passenger and freighter network of the national carrier, sufficient transit timings at Sheremetyevo airport and wider opportunities of CargoSpot, modern system of freight operations management of Aeroflot-Cargo.

Evgeny Tyurin, CPCR Logistics manager says that CPCR is aiming to decrease their shipments transit time with help of Aeroflot-Cargo partner agreement. Direct partnership with the carrier will ease current methods of transport making them more reliable.

Aeroflot-Cargo expects CPCR partnership allows the carrier to increase profitability of courier product, to change the structure of volumes carried and increase its share of domestic express product. Carrying CPCR freight will ease seasonal changes of cargo load and will allow planning Aeroflot-Cargo volumes on a long-term basis.

Vladimir Perverzev, Aeroflot-Cargo Sales and Marketing director is sure that CPCR consolidations on Aeroflot-Cargo flights along with joint use of IT products will allow both companies to compete more effectively.
“Our airline is operating not only within Russia, but international routes. We have to compete with foreign carriers – world market leaders. Our joint efforts (Aeroflot-Cargo and CPCR) will increase our profitability and will make our market positions stronger not only in Russia but abroad. Our customers will receive constantly high level of service which is vitally important for regional market relations". 

Both parties admit a strategic importance of their current agreement. These relations will form a regular traffic of goods to remote regions of Siberia, Urals and Russian Far East, strengthen information technologies and develop infrastructure in these regions.
