Cargo flight Moscow-Paris-Moscow put on schedule

Aeroflot Cargo has begun cargo operations on Moscow-Paris-Moscow route with a Boeing 737-300 Freighter. The first flight was made February 9 within a day (departure at 08:23 Moscow time from Sheremetyevo, return to Moscow at 20:05). The next flight on this route is scheduled for February 16, 2008. Further flights to Paris will be flown on a weekly basis on day 6. 

Aeroflot Cargo has drawn a timetable for scheduled Boeing 737-300F flights: Moscow-Helsinki-Moscow (twice a week, on day 2 and 6); Moscow-Manchester-Moscow (twice a week, on day 1 and 4); and Moscow-Paris-Moscow (once a week, on day 6).

Presently, the airplane flies to the UK (Moscow-Manchester-Moscow) and Finland (Moscow-Helsinki-Moscow). The first flight Moscow-Helsinki-Moscow was made February 2, 2008.

Boeing 737-300 Freighter -  a new aircraft type for the Russian cargo transport – is put into operation in Russia for the first time. Aeroflot Cargo views Boeing 737-300F as an advanced aircraft type meeting the demands of the cargo market and optimized for cargo operations from Moscow to CIS and non-CIS destinations. Service entry of the Boeing 737-300F will enable the company to significantly expand its network, generate more cargo traffic and bundle commercial mid-range with long-range flights opening new business opportunities both at home and abroad. 

The planes are operated on a 5-year lease from GECAS. Second 737-300F is expected in late February 2008. Further expansion of type fleet is on the agenda.

Aeroflot Cargo reports on 2007 performance of its units

Aeroflot Cargo management team has completed its meeting sizing up past year’s performance. The report by General Director Oleg Korolev included review of core businesses performance in 2008 and a sum-up of 2007 results. 

General Director also delivered a similar report at Aeroflot executive meeting sharing the results and plans of the subsidiary. He emphasized specific focus on cooperation and communication of subsidiary representatives with the parent company in the coming year. 

Aeroflot Cargo expands Boeing 737 network

February 4, 2008, Moscow. Aeroflot Cargo has approved the timetable for scheduled operations of the Boeing 737-300 Freighter. It plans to fly scheduled flights Moscow-Helsinki-Moscow (2 times a week, on day 2 and 6); Moscow-Manchester-Moscow (2 times a week, on day 1 and 4); Moscow-Paris-Moscow (daily on day 6).

At present, the plane flies to destinations in the UK and Finland. Maiden flight Moscow-Helsinki-Moscow was made February 2, 2008 and first flight Moscow-Paris-Moscow is slated for 09.02.2008.
