Aeroflot Cargo takes part in the first transport congress alongside ILA-2008

 

May 28-29 Aeroflot Cargo took part in the First European Air Transport and Logistic Congress held along the lines of ILA-2008 air show at Berlin-Schönefeld Airport (Germany). Aeroflot Cargo general director Oleg Korolev delivered his report in the first session of the Congress - Global Air Transport Industry: the Competitive Challenge. He outlined his company’s vision of the trends in the global and Russian air cargo market with the focus on general cargo transportation. 

Congress was opened by representatives of German and Russian aviation authorities: Peter Hintze, Parlamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, Federal Government Coordinator of German Aerospace Policy; Thomas Enders, President of the German Aerospace Industries Association, Boris Korol, Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia.

The first session also featured representatives of following companies: Lufthansa Cargo, Emirates Airlines, Volga-Dnepr, Deutsche Bank, Simon Kucher & Partners & Strategy & Marketing Consulatants. Moderator of the session was Rudiger Moniac, reporter, member of the editorial staff in Frankfurter Allgemeine and Die Welt.

 

Customer Service gets into action

Aeroflot Cargo is proud to introduce a new tool in its inventory as it aims to take its business to the world standards and enhance quality of the service with the maximum focus on customer needs – Customer Service. Creation of the new service is an integral part of Aeroflot Cargo effort to implement the company-wide quality management system. Aeroflot Cargo expects that strong performance of the new service will provide a significant boost to its market position. 

IFC officially confirms delivery schedule for Il 96-400T in 2008

Aeroflot Cargo has received official letter from Ilyushin Finance Co. leasing company which specified delivery schedule for Il 96-400T freighters now in production at the aircraft-building plant in Voronezh.

According to the letter, Aeroflot Cargo will receive the first plane in July 2008, the second in August 2008 and the third in December 2008. 

The first airplane will be put into service at the earliest to fly mid-range routes within Russia and abroad. Network for the new aircraft is now being adjusted to adapt the confirmed delivery schedule. Il 96-400T maximum range is 5,5 thousand km with maximum commercial load 92 ton.
