Aeroflot-Cargo exceeded the last year volumes in August

Aeroflot-Cargo reports stable results in August 2009 which have been exceeded the last year volumes of freight. August 2009 has seen 14 140 tons of freight and mail being carried by Aeroflot-Cargo. Variance of the last year is 104,3 per cent.

7659 tons were uplifted on flights of Aeroflot passenger network – VLY is 99,5 %. Aeroflot-Cargo freighters carried 6480 tons exceeding last year volumes by 10,7 %. In 2009 freighter fleet of Aeroflot-Cargo comprises of three MD-11F.

Volume of carriage statistics per month has positive dynamic: variance of January 2009/08 is 62%, February 59,5%, March 71%, April  86%, May 96,9%, June 92,7%, July 98,4%, August 104,3%.

New domestic partner

The beginning of autumn of year 2009 saw a new important event on the air freight market in Russia – CPCR, a courier consolidator and Aeroflot-Cargo, air freight carrier concluded a long term partnership agreement. Both companies are currently holding leading positions on the local market of express delivery and air freight. Volumes that are to be carried by CPCR with Aeroflot-Cargo are expected to rise up to 100 tons a month. CPCR is sure that partner relations with Aeroflot-Cargo will dramatically change their method of freight delivery to remote areas of Russia and will increase a service level of freight operations on domestic routes...

July results: Aeroflot-Cargo continues business as normal

Aeroflot-Cargo reports stable results which are similar to the last year volumes of the freight uplifted in July 2009. Aeroflot-Cargo met this year budget targets that were revised in May 2009 to consider world economy crisis situation.

First anniversary of Aeroflot-Cargo MD-11F freighter flight

4th June 2008 Aeroflot-Cargo airline made inaugural commercial flight on all-cargo MD-11F aircraft operating Moscow-Helsinki-Moscow route. Aeroflot-Cargo is the first Russian carrier operating this type of aircraft.

Aeroflot-Cargo Q1 performance

Aeroflot-Cargo operational result of three months of year 2009 is reflecting decreasing trend of cargo industry. From January to March 2009 cargo and passenger fleet carried 21 582 tons which made 64.9 per cent of the same period of the last year. Aeroflot-Cargo own fleet uplifted 1348 tons in January (37.9 % of January 2008). Another 1776 tons were carried in February (38.6 %) and 3358.1 tons in March (58 %). In first three months Aeroflot-Cargo freighters carried 6482 tons or 46 per cent of volumes carried last year.

Aeroflot-Cargo has successfully migrated to a new reservation system CargoSpot

Effective 21 April 2009 at 18:00 of Moscow time Aeroflot-Cargo has successfully migrated to a new reservation and accounting system – CargoSpot. Such technology will give us a full control over sales and revenue management by integrating of all internal business processes to one system.
 
Migration to CargoSpot will allow managing our network comprising of numerous destinations, routes and connections more effectively. 
Aeroflot-Cargo is expecting maximum effect from managing of passenger network of mother company. We will also manage cargo and passenger network synergy – our cargo flights will deliver freight to Russia for further on carriage to remote destinations serving by Aeroflot flights.

Three challenging years

Three years ago, 19 April 2006 Aeroflot-Cargo CJSC was legally registered by Russian authorities. Since that day a new company, 100% subsidiary of JSC Aeroflot started its cargo operations. After half of a year 18 October 2006 the company obtained Certificate of Operator and was licensed as a carrier. 1 November 2006 Aeroflot-Cargo started its operations on passenger fleet of mother company. 15 December 2006 first all-cargo airplane DC-10-40F operated the first flight under its own flight number RCF-963 on route Moscow – Hong-Kong. Aeroflot-Cargo is launching a new freight service in Sankt-Petersburg

11 April 2009 Aeroflot-Cargo is launching a new scheduled flight on route Frankfurt Hahn – Sankt-Petersburg (RCF-910). The flight departs from Hahn, Germany on day 6. This flight is to be operated by freighter aircraft MD-11F with a capacity exceeding 90 tons. Aeroflot-Cargo is now holding traffic rights for this line. The new direct service will allow customers to reduce the delivery time from Germany to Sankt-Petersburg and North West region of Russia. Company experts expect the increase of cargo traffic to Northern Capital of Russia.

Aeroflot-Cargo to introduce a new flight Hong Kong – Mumbai

5 April 2009 Aeroflot-Cargo is launching a new flight on route Hong Kong – Mumbai which will be a part of rotation flight Hahn – Moscow – Hong Kong – Mumbai – Moscow – Hahn. The flight departs from Hahn, Germany on day 2. Every Sunday there will be another regular service to Mumbai from Hong Kong with commercial stop-over at Sheremetyevo and Hahn airports. Aeroflot-Cargo is now holding traffic rights for every segment on this route. These flights are to be operated by freighter aircraft MD-11F with a capacity exceeding 90 tons. 

Suspension of regular passenger flights to the destination effecting summer schedule was one of the reason for introducing the cargo service. New flights are now meeting demands of our regional customers with a regular traffic on this route.

Aeroflot-Cargo sales team is sure that this flight will broad a range of carrier’s services and attracts additional load on all segments of the flight to say nothing about commercial benefits.

Aeroflot-Cargo to increase frequencies to Asian destinations in summer’09

Aeroflot-Cargo is now changing its summer schedule to increase freighter flights frequency to Asian destinations. Introducing new flights has resulted by reinstate of freight carriage demand. Aeroflot-Cargo also meets top customers expectations on these routes.

With effect from the 2nd April 2009 frequency to Hong Kong is to be increased to 3 flights a week. Additional flight is planned to operate on route Hahn-Moscow – Almaty – Hong Kong – Karaganda (technical landing only) – Moscow – Hahn. Frequency increase is caused by growth of commercial loads on the route.

From the 4th of April 2009 Aeroflot-Cargo resumes freighter flights to Beijing: rotation flight on route Hahn – Moscow – Beijing – Moscow – Hahn will be operated twice a week on days 3 and 6. We expect to get a stable load for a longer period.

Flights to Beijing used to operate by another aircraft type. 4th of April 2009 will be a milestone date in history of Aeroflot-Cargo – this will be a day of inaugural flight of MD11F to Beijing. From now with re-instating of the flight on summer schedule new cargo liners MD-11F with a payload exceeding 90 tones will carry freight to Beijing, the capital of People’s Republic of China.

From the 8th April 2009 Aeroflot-Cargo in introducing the third weekly flight to Shanghai. The planned route is Hahn-Shanghai-Novosibirsk-Hahn on day 3. The rest two flights operate the same route on days 1 and 4. Aeroflot-Cargo sales management in Asian region can see demand growth and market recovery.
